Vietnam is one of the world’s largest exporters of Cassia cinnamon. This variety is widely used in the pharmaceutical, aromatherapy, and food industries. Vietnam’s Cassia cinnamon production stands at 68,000 tons—ranking third globally and accounting for 16% of the global market share—following Indonesia (36.8%) and China (33.9%). The total cinnamon cultivation area in Vietnam is projected to reach 163,000 hectares by 2026, concentrated primarily in the provinces of Yen Bai, Lao Cai, and Son La.
Vietnamese Cassia cinnamon is exported to numerous markets, including the United States, India, South Korea, Taiwan, the Middle East, Russia, and China.
